Designed in collaboration with Nelson Kwong Architects, Nadège Nourian’s pastry shop resembles one of her desserts: little bursts of flavour wrapped in a perfect white shell. Inside, the glass-walled kitchen in the back lets you watch gems being concocted, like small but flavourful sandwiches on petits-pains and croissants (gummier than what you’re probably used to). The main event is the small, sweet exquises. Look for her macarons (flavours like rose, poppy and olive oil) to be the new cupcakes.– Bert Archer
