The Gardiner Museum’s patrons can’t seem to get enough of Jamie Kennedy’s resto, open for lunch and Friday evenings. Like the building that houses it, the open-concept third-floor dining establishment is the work of local firm Kuwabara Payne McKenna Blumberg. Interior limestone walls echo the former U of T Household Sciences building, seen out of the north window, while a glazed wall and balcony on the west side afford views of the ROM Crystal. Chef de cuisine Scott Vivian offers a mix of old faves and new concoctions (like sea scallops and foie gras with sweet corn fregula) on a menu that changes frequently. Each item on the menu is paired with a wine selected by sommelier Jamie Drummond. To get a quicker Jamie Kennedy fix, the Members’ Café, located beside the resto, offers ready-to-go homemade sandwiches and salads. $$-$$$ Photo by: Mary Armstrong
