This venerable bookstore sells used books at a fraction of the cover price, with the front half of the store devoted to titles on architecture, design, fashion, photography and fine art. Paperback novels (often of the cheap and pulpy kind) are also well represented. Note also the shop's late opening hours: smack dab in the middle of Little Italy's bar and restaurant district, Balfour is the perfect spot to indulge in some gratuitous after-dinner browsing. DVDs are also available to rent, with foreign films a popular pick.
