One of the city’s best conceptual interior design shops, Commute Home, recently vacated its location on Queen West and reopened in this massive north-of-Bloor showroom. Now there’s plenty of space to show off its très chic furniture, including modular sofas, dining tables made from reclaimed wood and bare-bulb fixtures. Our favourites include a headboard made of butternut and accented with a slat from an old farmhouse, and a delicate cluster of brass sticks that adhere to a wall. Weird but elegant.
