With its opulently upholstered furniture and quirky accessories rooted in 18th-century Europe, Trianon has a decidedly different feel than many of its King East neighbours. The brainchild of interior designers Lesley Macmillan and Bernard Le Corre, it is fashioned into playful and elegant vignettes: think goose feather chandeliers floating above a three-metre-high mirror framed in antique industrial iron gates. Its newest curiosities include the commanding Studio 72 tripod film-set floor lamp by Fortuny, delicate hanging lanterns of hand-painted silk and a photorealistic wallpaper line by Yo².
