Median Contemporary
Not much at this new pop-up gallery is an easy sell, but that’s part of the idea behind it. Co-owners and artists Rui Pimenta and Kai Mansur opened Median last fall to showcase art that explores new materials, including “circuit bending” sound pieces and time-based light installations. The temporary satellite space is owned by the Drake Hotel, so Pimenta and Mansor plan to showcase as many artists as possible before the lease runs out.
