Inabstracto

Owner Kate Eisen’s passion for varied materials and mid-century modern furniture and design is well-displayed here, with an extensive collection of rare Canadian works (patio-perfect plastic Solair chairs, retro Lotte table lamps, graphic wallpaper by Julie Jenkinson). There’s a healthy dose of vintage American, European and Scandinavian furnishings too, plus some seriously good treasures in the lighting department (check out the tubular Rougier wall sconces). A Berlin street art and graffiti exhibit runs to August 30, the latest of the shop’s occasional art shows. Inabstracto also carries Canada’s largest selection of popular Swiss-made Freitag bags and wallets made from recycled industrial tarp.
