Luflic means lovely in Old English. That’s exactly what you can expect from furniture designers Brent Cordner and Dave Kral: inventive and memorable furniture made from a balanced mix of new and old materials. Their ethos is simple: make furniture that is both durable and beautiful in design, so that there is no reason to throw it away for a very long time. Each item has a story attached to it, either from the way it was made, or from the ideas that brought the piece into being. The CNC bent-tube chair, In the Round, borrows its name from the circular knitting technique and uses over 15 metres of felted wool or crocheted nylon as upholstery, which covers nine metres of the chair’s structural element: a metal tube that’s twisted and bent into the shape of a chair. Available through the designers.
