Elte is huge – the showroom covers 180,000 square metres, with contemporary furnishings, case goods, carpeting and home accessories, including bed linens and scented accessories. Much of the space is given over to the neutral design collections of Ralph Lauren Home and fellow American brand Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams, but there’s also floor space devoted to colourful accessories by Kartell. The area rug department displays a vast selection of mansion-sized, broadloom floor coverings along with edgier options, including the Second Life series of monochromatic patchwork rugs. The new second floor is dedicated to edgier options and lots of colour, including funky rugs and super-mod furniture by Kartell, Magis and Casamania.
