CityPlace Gets Taken to School

One of the city’s densest clusters of condo towers continues its evolution into a true neighbourhood

By Eric Mutrie

ZAS Architects + Interiors’ latest project is a lesson in how to integrate community services into a 13-year-old condo district. The firm’s angular glass- and metal-clad complex on Fort York Boulevard will complete Concord CityPlace’s transformation with both public and Catholic elementary schools, a daycare, and a community centre. Topped with a green roof that houses a basketball court and running track, the sloped facilities echo the hilly terrain of the adjacent Canoe Landing Park.
