Danish Desire

Torp, in collaboration with Hollace Cluny and SDI Design, is hosting a new, limited-time exhibition, titled Danish Desire, in association with DesignTO. The exhibit will feature curated interior displays from:

• Carl Hansen
• Fritz Hansen
• Erik Jørgensen
• George Jensen
• MUUTO

In addition, the exhibit will include a pair of discussions on the intricacies, inspiration and enduring quality of Danish design. The first talk, Foundation & Evolution of Danish Design, kicks off at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan 18, and features Karina Svensgaard, export manager of PP Møbler and authority on nordic design. The second, Danish Desire in Design, starts at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, January 20, and features a panel of leading Canadian and Danish designers who will discuss how they’ve incorporated Danish design elements in their work.
