Renaud Sauvé Exhibition at Mjölk

This September 25 from 7pm – 9pm

This week, Toronto design lovers have reason to head west where The Junction mainstay Mjölk is hosting the opening reception for Porcelain: Beyond Words, a new exhibition by Quebec artist Renaud Sauvé. Known for his poetic, detail-rich ceramic practice, Sauvé works almost exclusively in porcelain, coaxing from the material both intimate vessels and expansive tile compositions. His latest collection draws inspiration from the rhythms of daily life in the Canadian landscape, where fleeting encounters with flora, fauna, and natural patterns are translated into objects of quiet intensity.

The show marks an opportunity to experience Sauvé’s craftsmanship up close, as well as the thoughtful curatorial lens that has made Mjölk one of Toronto’s most distinctive design destinations. Blending Scandinavian and Japanese sensibilities with contemporary Canadian voices, the Dundas West boutique is equal parts showroom and gallery, dedicated to elevating functional objects into works of art.

Sauvé will be present at the opening, offering a chance for guests to connect directly with the artist.
