Yorkville Murals 2025

The festival returns with art, music, and the distinct energy of the neighbourhood
Toronto’s most stylish neighbourhood will get a bold, technicolour makeover this August as Yorkville Murals Festival returns for its 2025 edition, running August 23–24. Known for blending large-scale public art with music, wellness and urban culture, the annual event transforms the area into an immersive playground for art lovers and curious passersby alike.
This year’s festival kicks off with a ticketed rooftop DJ set by global electronic icon Kaskade on Friday night, followed by a free Saturday night Block Party featuring Canadian turntable legend Skratch Bastid. Between sets, Yorkville’s streets and rooftops will come alive with five brand-new murals and a host of interactive installations.
Highlights include birdO’s monumental 26,000-square-foot mural atop the Cumberland Parkade — Toronto’s largest to date — featuring his signature surreal animal style and a nod to the Blue Jays’ recent AL East triumph. Yaw Tony will debut a whimsical open-air inflatable installation in the Village of Yorkville Park, while Sage Barnes takes over an unused retail space at the Park Hyatt Toronto for the festival’s first-ever artist residency, inviting the public to watch his creative process unfold.
The festival’s “No Empty Spaces” theme extends throughout the neighbourhood, with pop-up retail, art activations, and murals transforming hidden corners into dynamic cultural moments. Early risers can join the new Wellness Saturday series, featuring rooftop yoga atop the Cumberland Parkade, cold plunges, and mini spa treatments. Coffee aficionados can hit The Coffee Party for caffeine, community, and spontaneous dance breaks.
Yorkville Avenue will close to traffic for the weekend, becoming a pedestrian-only zone filled with murals, live painting, luxury brand pop-ups, and culinary experiences, including an exclusive offering from celebrity chef Antonio Park. Whether you come for the music, the art, or simply to soak in the atmosphere, Yorkville Murals Festival offers a unique way to send off Toronto’s summer in style.
