Our One of a Kind Winter Show Editors’ Picks

Your go-to shopping list for the festive season
As the first snow hit the city this week, the holiday season seems to be fast approaching. But there’s still plenty of time to find the perfect present for a loved one or pick up a special treat for yourself. At the 2025 One of a Kind Winter Show, there’s something for everyone, with hand-crafted home decor plus locally-made artworks, fashion, and more — all marked by high-quality, Canadian craftsmanship. Here, check out the 7 standout booths at the top of our list!
OBJ STUDIO, Booth I-49
3D-printed with plant-based PLA (corn starch, cassava or sugarcane), OBJ STUDIO’s sustainable, biodegradable designs reimagine what home decor can be. Purposefully designed for low waste production — thanks to the precision of digital fabrication — the Toronto studio’s portfolio includes vases, planters, trays, incense holders, lighting and more. Shown here: a light blue table lamp with modern appeal.
SarahBijoux, Booth H-13
Whether you’re loyal to gold or silver, explore elegant, hand-made jewelry from SarahBijoux. The woman-owned studio headquartered in the Mile End neighbourhood of Montreal brings a sophisticated, timeless feel to modern jewelry. Don’t miss the Nostalgia collection, inspired by slow beach days and summer daydreaming, or the Silk Collection, which bears a textured motif reminiscent of the flowing fabric.
The Sculpted Sock, Booth P-49
Looking for a kid-friendly gift? These whimsical, made-in-Ontario dolls from The Sculpture Sock are both expertly made and heartwarming. Crafted with Waldorf-inspired techniques, these natural-fibre art dolls are stuffed with carded Canadian wool, feature red-rosy cheeks coloured with beeswax and include removable clothing made from linen, denim, and more.
Plastic Flux, Booth P-05
When Plastic Flux founder Hanson Wong started wood carving to relieve school-related stress, he had no idea the wasted shavings would lead him to establish his own, eco-conscious business. Inspired to reduce waste in another material, Plastic Flux launched in 2021, with a recycling program for post-consumer plastic waste collected from the community, which led to a series of beautifully crafted household items. Today, the team has diverted 94,650 plastic containers from the local landfill! Plus, Plastic Flux’s products are nice to look at: these soap dishes (shown) would be a colourful accent for your bathroom sink.
Ffiou Tricot Graphique, Booth D-29
For colourful, graphic knits, look no further than Ffiou Tricot Graphique, based out of Val-David, Quebec. Made of 100 per cent merino wool, their collection of bright sweater vests, headbands, scarves, and other apparel, offers great options for stylish, sustainable clothing. With nearly zero waste, their made-to-order process is a testament to the impact of slow fashion.
Oldboy Metal, Booth U-22
Custom knives never looked so good. Hand-forged in Toronto, these one-of-a-kind blades from Oldboy Metal in unique, organic shapes are made from high-carbon steel. Plus, their patterned handles are constructed from skateboard veneer, reclaimed wood and layered composites. And if you’re looking for a gift for an outdoorsy type, they also make colourful custom axes.
Kiima, Booth Q-24
For the climate-conscious person on your list, try this made-in-Canada refillable deodorant brand: Kiima. Designed to be compatible with partner deodorants, their sleek refillable applicators reduce waste and promote sustainable design. Choose from their list of applicator colours (Black Sand Beach, Blanc Coton, Manarola Rosé, Rosewood, Vert Forillon and Bleu Glacier), then finalize your refill scent (vanilla bliss, fruity escape, fresh verve and more), and you’re all set.
