Transforming Spaces: The Innovative Designs of Superkül’s Andre D’Elia and Meg Graham.
The subtle use of materials and space is prevalent in Superkül‘s work – just check out their own live/work space in Roncesvalles. In 2006, the husband-and-wife team gutted an old two-storey storefront and renovated it into a three-storey office and home. Principals Andre D’Elia and Meg Graham both worked for KPMB before venturing out on their own (D’Elia founded Superkül in 2002; Graham joined a few years later). Since then, they’ve worked on various projects, including Distrikt Nightclub and St. Joseph Media’s publishing headquarters. They are currently wrapping up a renovation at Alison Smith Contemporary Art, constructing the Junior Academy (a private school on Bayview Avenue), and working on a number of residential projects.
