Yorkville welcomes a lavish new condo development

Like all fashionable downtowners, Yorkville’s latest condo, now under construction, mixes vintage finds with contemporary bling. Designed by architect Rosario Varacalli, the man behind the twisting Exhibit Residences across from the ROM, 1 Yorkville will rise from a row of 19th-century Yonge Street heritage buildings thoughtfully restored by ERA Architects. High above, rippling metallic ribbons deck the 58-storey tower’s glass facade like necklaces, catching light to create a dazzling glittering effect.
