New Auction Kicks Off With a Castor Design Exhibition

New Auction aims to amp up design awareness in Toronto with a series of exhibitions, dinners, talks and tours. First on its programming schedule: a display of science-meets-art works by local designers Castor Design. The platform, presented by Derreck Martin and Colen Colthurst (Colhurst owns and operates Porch Modern), celebrates both classic and contemporary designs, created by local and international talents, and ranging from the rare to the quotidian. Its three overarching ideals: “Uncommon works. Important prototypes. Simple utilitarian pieces.”
