The new line revives beloved classics in fresh and modern ways
Modern designs and reimagined classics make up the Design Within Reach Summer 2023 collection. Launched May 1, the line features furniture, art, accessories and floor coverings that aim to make any space feel timeless and chic, along with DWR summer exclusives designed by Gabriel Tan, Hlynur Atlason, Laxmi Hussain and Sarah Ellison.

Chromeo Chair and Ottoman
This DWR summer exclusive by Australian designer Sarah Ellison is a love letter to Bauhaus design. Marrying sleek metal tubing and plush upholstery, it creates a modern reframing of vintage style. Ellison explains that, when designing, she does not only think about the product but “about the person, the space and how it’s going to go with everything else,” and it shows. This piece fully encapsulates the feeling of lounging in luxury. $3,790.

Designed by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec for Swiss design company Vitra, this chic table suits indoor and outdoor spaces equally. Laxmi Hussain Art Collection
DWR joins forces with London-based artist Laxmi Hussain to showcase a beautiful merging of abstract and realistic forms with this collection of original paintings. Drawing from forms of the natural body, Hussain creates free-flowing designs boasting rich blues and contrasting creams. Her works often appear incomplete at times to allow the viewer to fill in the blanks with their personal stories. From $595.
Soffi Swivel Chair
Designer Gabriel Tan brings us on a fun and playful journey with this new living room must-have. Using 1960s and ’70s inflatable furniture as inspiration, Tan combines the nostalgic silhouette with a luxurious and durable fabric upholstery in soft hues for summer. Notably, this design not only looks at the independent perspective of the sitter but considers the social aspect of connection and interaction with its swivel function. From $3,795.
Vis a Vis Rug
To honour the 30th anniversary of her rug company, Nani Marquina partnered with fellow designer Jaime Hayon to create a series of illustrative rugs that scream summer. Hand-tufted and made with 100% wool, this fun conversation piece is sure to bring life to any room. From $1,295.
